Moving to Casablanca from abroad

You are preparing your move to Casablanca: returning home, a job transfer, studies, retirement or a new chapter in life. Finding a home from a distance takes a local contact, clear information and the time to decide without rushing.

01

Who is this page for?

This page is for people looking for a home in Casablanca who do not live there yet: Moroccans living abroad, expatriates, transferred employees, students, retirees. Do you already own a property and live far away? The “Remote owners” page is made for you.

02

Choosing a neighborhood from a distance

Each neighborhood has its own pace, distances and prices. Our neighborhood pages help you compare before visiting. Then tell us your criteria (budget, number of rooms, daily commute, schools, transport): we will suggest available properties that match them.

03

Visiting without traveling

If you are abroad, an advisor can show you the property on a live video call. You ask your questions during the visit. The photos and, for some properties, a video on the listing page give you a first impression. Once you are in Casablanca, visits take place on site: it is the best way to get a real feel for a property.

04

Settling in gradually

Many newcomers prefer not to sign a yearly lease before seeing the city. A short-stay or furnished rental gives you time to discover the neighborhoods and visit on site before choosing your long-term home.

05

Buying from abroad

The main steps of a purchase:

  1. Define the project: budget, use (main home, second home or rental), neighborhood.
  2. Receive a selection and visit by video, then on site if you wish.
  3. Negotiate and formalize the agreement.
  4. Sign at the notary’s office; the notary checks the property’s legal status and drafts the deed.

Casa Habitat supports you until the signing at the notary’s office. For financing, the transfer of funds and the rules that apply to your situation, please consult the notary and your bank.

06

In which languages?

Our advisors speak French, English and Arabic. In Spanish and Italian, we communicate through translated messages.

07

What we do not do

Casa Habitat is a real estate agency. We do not handle residence formalities, bank account openings, removals or any other service outside real estate.
